I changed my mind. Here is the grade of the coin MS-63 with a green CAC sticker. Both of which are seriously wrong. This piece is a virtual match to the 1903 PCGS MS-66 CAC I bought from the same nationally known dealer. CAC should have put a gold sticker on the coin. I am very seriously thinking of cracking it out and resubmitting it raw since both NGC and PCGS will only bump up a coin's grade one point if sent in for a regrade.

The dealer, in my opinion, could have priced this coin much higher than he did based on the coin and not what was on the label. An 1889-S Morgan dollar in MS-65 is worth over $2,000.00 and I got it for not much more than MS-63 money.

The pictures seem a little soft so I'll bet there are truly more marks on the face than it appears . I'll go 64.

MS-64 is fair for this coin. I'm not seeing MS-65 or 66

Very nice 63. 64 would be fair. It wouldn't go higher since it looks dipped and stripped, then retoned. The luster appears exceptionally weak. A 65 or 66 Morgan will have great luster.

A flat two dimensional picture makes it so hard to grade. I guessed MS 63 in the poll. Without being able to move the coin at different angles we are handicapped as a grader. The comment about the luster is so right on.

For those of you who "think" you know what luster looks like it is extremely difficult to capture it in a photograph on every coin. The following is the description of the coin by a nationally known and well respected coin dealer. I have purchased several coins from him and all met or exceeded my expectations upon receiving each piece.
