Does anybody know how many different dies that are accepted as inverted S for the 1928 Standing Liberty quarter? I was originally told 'only one,' but even at PCGS there seems to be at least three different dies that they have certified.

It might just be me, but I feel that the PCGS coins don't all pass the 'upside down' test. That is, the MM doesn't look 'correct' when you flip the photo 180 degrees.

I have seen certified examples at shows that appear to differ from even these.

Any insight would be much appreciated.

opsuper3,

as a CCF member.

One important recommendation that I would suggest to you is to always insert a .jpg containing a photo when posting with CCF etc.

Directing the reader toward a URL quite often leads to a dead link as is such the case when clicking on your referred-to link.

The error message I receive states,

'Server Error

404 - File or directory not found.
The resource you are looking for might have been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable.'

Just a fyi,

Odd. The link worked the first time I posted it. I don't have any specific photos of my own, I was just trying to link to the photos on the PCGS site. I'll give the link one last shot, then I will give up on it! :-) http://www.pcgscoinfacts.com/Coin/Detail/395951

Sorry, posted the reply too quickly too quickly. I was hoping to find an expert or a serious collector of the 1928 inverted S quarter.
