You NEED TO KNOW HOW TO SPELL! Check out this ebay listing for a Liberty Deated Dollar ... offered to you by MGS (Meticulous Grading Systems).

My favorite was MCGS. They were more than a self slabbed, they actually tried to make something of an honest go of it, but on their first generation slab they spelled their own name wrong Millenium Coin Grading Service. On the second generation slabs they managed to get the second "n" in Millennium.

Regardless of the name, it went for Fine money @ $256. I see it as VF30 maximum, and not really close to EF, but I think someone still got an ok deal.

Tights,

You're right ... if genuine, that's a good deal. The "if genuine" concerns me from a self-slabber who has zero quality control on a simple thing like a label. Looking at the coin, the reverse wear at the bottom seems non-uniform and that's a common trait for counterfeits in the series. I wonder how much it weighs?
