Hello,
I found something strange in my pocket change and have no idea what it could be. It's a regular Denver mint Arizona State Quarter, but it has two tiny holes in the edges of both sides and appears to maybe be plated in silver? I have attached a picture where you can see one of the holes. Anybody seen anything like this before? Maybe a piece of jewelry? I don't know much of anything about coin collecting, so I'm sorry if this is a stupid question. Thank you in advance for your time.

I think it might have been used as a decoration or jewelery. Or someone experimenting on it.

It could be platinum plated instead silver and probably used as jewelry. Regarding the value see this link. http://www.ebay.com/itm/2008-50-STA...047675.l2557

It's a quarter so .25c, but you could use it as jewelry. Maybe?

I would guess jewelry to. If the holes are aligned and go all the way through it was probably for a necklace or bracelet.

Used as jewelry, often on a bezel type holder with a pin on either side of the bezel that would fit into the hole allowing the coin to be flipped over top to bottom to display either side.
