I went to my local Credit Union for five rolls of pennies to search..and low and behold, every roll appears to be pure Canadian pennies.

Found a 1942 King George but the rest seem to be turned in from a Canadian. I am torn on bringing them back or keeping them. There are so many others that are in pretty decent shape.

Canadian cents are no longer made...you could probably make a little profit selling them on ebay.

After seeing one bright and shiny from 1983, I decided to hold on to them. After searching all five rolls, they appeared to be in higher grade than what is found here in circulation overall. There were 7 King George pennies. All five rolls were pure copper (1985 and earlier). I think I tapped into someone getting rid of their Canadian copper.

I don't believe they knowingly sold those Canadian coins to you. I would recommend keeping or spending somewhere. Based on my experience, my banks and CU's will not accept Canadian coin, and wow do they throw a fit if you try to pass them off!

Hahaha, I brought in $20 dollars in American nickels for 2 rolls of halves and the young lass working the bank counter needed to see my passport and then ran a giant magnet wand over my rolls!

SO actually 1996 and earlier cents are copper. also you should check this site because there are some pennies worth some high dollars.

Specifically look for the 1985 pointed 5, 62-65 variations.

The KG coins are a good score, and I would recommend keeping them for sure.
