The last three products for the year
Coin Discovery Set
FDR Chronicles set
Limited Edition Silver Proof Set

The first two are due to launch soon and still no images or descriptions! And why wait to launch them so close to christmas? Makes it difficult to give them as presents. I would think the Mint would be done with releases for the year by Dec 1.

@unholyroller. I was thinking the same thing. Will be difficult to give these items as presents. Would the Coin Discovery Set-An Introduction to Coin Collecting be any good? Guess it's hard to say without any description. Would appreciate hearing people's comments on that one.

The new MO for the Mint is that the release date and the shipping date are separated by 24 hours.

They can announce a sale date of 12/11 and they will be in consumers hands the next week

I am/was interested in the LE proof set....

Having the FDR set launch the 22nd though makes it nearly impossible to get as a gift for someone though. As well as the Discovery set...being that will be a lower priced set, it will ship regular ground and deliver well after Christmas to your door. If I were managing that place Dec 1 would be the very last release date. Beyond that date and it just seems silly.

Can anyone even explain why they are making a Roosevelt coin and chronicles set? Other than simply to extract money from the collectors.

I am one of those collectors from whom they will be extracting money.

I am very happy with my Theodore Roosevelt C&C set, so I will be getting this one as well. I really hope an Eisenhower set materializes next year.
