I am trying to get through a backlog of coins that I haven't produced good images of yet. The most time consuming part is getting the edges right with a blank background.

Here are four more though...

Ilkhanid, Anushiravan (745-757h), 2-Dirham. type E, Tabriz AH750 Album 2265 (eye-shape/square). 15mm, 1.18g. Scarce.
New-Photos-Of-4-Middle-Eastern-Coins.

Kings of Persis, AR Hemidrachm. Napad/Kaput, mid-late 1st century AD. 12mm, 1.59g.
Obv. Bearded bust l. With diadem & tiara with crescent.
Rev. Small bearded bust of Namopat l. wearing diadem. Devolved script around.
Ref. Sear 5951, Sunrise 639.

Sasanian AR Drachm. Khusro I. Year 21(552-3AD). MM=WYHC (Ctesiphon). 4.13g, 28mm.
Obv. Facing bust, hd. r. Merlot crown with tassle l. crescent and stars.
Rev. Fire altar flanked by attendants, with tall headgear and hands on sword hilts.
Ref. GoblSN II/2.

And lastly this one, which due to the unclear legend, I don't have a full reference for yet...

Sasanian AR Drachm. Shaper II, 309-379AD. 4.11g, 27mm.
Obv. Bust of Shapur II r.
Rev. Fire altar flanked by two attendants.

Nice to see some Sasanian coins this afternoon. May I ask what reference database you draw your numbers from?

WOW! That's a Great Khusro I. I mean they are all awesome but that Khusro I is off the hook. These are usually ratty and chipped and didn't have enough metal to fill the die (similar to the Shapur II). I still need to get a Khusro I. I will take that one.

Ha, I wouldn't expect you to sell that quite so soon. I would guess 60 GBP approx. $100 USD, for one as complete and close to MS as that.

Well as you were so kind as to answer my rather crass question (discussing prices is often taboo!) I feel obliged to tell you that I picked it up for £16.75, which I think is about $26 or so. I was pretty pleased with that one, which was why I asked!

Very nice group of coins - I especially like the eye-appeal of the Ilkhanid one.

$26 Bucks! Thats a steal, well done. Your giving Echizento a run for his money with his MS $30 Khusro II.

all cool. you guys have got me interested in sslamic coins, I've got one incoming now. I like the ones that have some cool patterns (like your eye and square) besides just the pretty script.

i agree with AN, that khurso I is awesome. mini-persis double bust is also cool.

i guess they're all cool VAL...long story short.
