I am confused. This arrived this morning and I am trying to attribute it. Looking at Wildwinds, it appears to be RIC 64. There are two examples given. One is rare and one is not. The one that is rare has a dot in the doorway, mine does not. The dot in the doorway is not mentioned in the description.

The non-rare has no dot in the example but his clothes are different.

Has the wrong photo been added, these look like two different coins to me. Also the non-rare one has epsilon in ex not Z.

Is mine "rare"?

The second picture with the dot in the gateway belongs to the entry below, namely RIC#72.
Had a look in Sear(ME], the one without the dot is #16811 (RIC#62) while #16812 (RIC#72) is with the dot.
Sear does not give rarity, but the price difference is minimal, 13 resp. 14 pound for VF.

Officinae recorded are:
Gamma,Delta,Epsilon,Stigma,Zeta,Eta,Iota for #16811/#64
Beta, Delta,Epsilon,Zeta for #16812/#72

My suspicion is that your coin is from officina 6, ie letter Stigma

Thanks Medieval. To clarify, mine is RIC 62, Sear 16811. Whipped out the greek alphabet, I would have said mine is Z zeta, what makes you think it is Stigma? Would that be a retrograde Stigma? Greek is not my strong suit.

64! As you said in the op.

There are additional Greek characters used for numbers, including Stigma for 6 and Koppa for 90 -> http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Greek_numerals
The officinae letters are just uppercase Greek letters for the numbers and Zeta is 7, the squiggle on your coin looks closer to a Stigma (which comes in several slightly different forms) to me, but it could be read as Zeta as well.
