Hi, bellmaker: I'm sure there's an official report out there somewhere. However, I've seen a reference that the mint suggests the 8000 and many other references quote 8000 on a google search. So, I will change the original post. Thanks, Steve

Hello steve123,
I think your poll is just fine the way it is, point of it is "what if" and "what would people do if".
Sorry if I came across less than pleasant with my post, was not my intention.
Hobby has lots of rumours, rumours which are started by those who profit directly from the rumours they start and these people continue to perpetuate the same rumours over time with ever so slight changes, even though they know better.
Next thing we know, people are saying the rumours are fact, just because it is written in a publication.

I have a one only known, outside the sample in the currency museum. AND, mine is a better grade true! is not even in Charlton, but is certified as such. Charlton says: institutional

I agree with 1cent. But I'll take two of them and destroy the rest. Then I sell off the one in lower grade and keep the better one for myself.

47P7...Canadiana is also great... .....We only learn from this ,..and then learn to appreciate it more.. ..and the more info that you can provide,..the better.. ...... SlurExe97....If there is a "will or a way"..I would definitely keep a couple of the 44's,..and then I would stash the special rarities away and place them in my will for another generation of aspiring collectors. Think of the Heaton Hoard ..or the "SlurExe97..Super 44 Find".. Everyone deserves a chance...

Perhaps that was a bit selfish... Maybe I should just stash it away somewhere after picking a couple of the best ones out and never talk about it again like you said. Then give a hint to someone worthy of finding them, someone who will not ARP them.

47P7, for those of who do not have a Charlton, in what context is the word institutional used?
Would also like to see a picture of your coin.

Dev, ok, all in good time tomorrow... with a guessing attached of what it is. Bellmakermine is not a coin, it is a note. I believe that the word INSTITUTIONAL is used when there are only the examples known which are in a museum or similar institution. Mine is the only one known outside the museum. will post a pic tomorrow and you guys can look it up in the NEW Charlton. I do not have the latest as I am not really in to paper, unless it is something interesting.
