Can anyone tell me where this was minted please? Rome? Claudius I, Modius with corn ears.   You will never soar like an eagle if you hang around with turkeys.....

Very nice, I have one, I think it is a quadrans, but mine is way off centre.

Got all the info on it PP, just pinning down place of mint (I think it's Rome) before it hits the bay. Changed my name on there by the way PP, matches my address better.

My understanding was that all quadrans (quadrai?) minted during his reign were in Rome, but now that I look around I can't find any verification of that.

Not sure on that point chuy, I know they churned stuff out from 5 mints, just wondering if these had been made at different ones as sometimes they vary greatly in style and weight. 3 of us presuming Rome is good enough for me.

Best change the typo. I thought it would look better with the sandy patina as it was so off centre. I think it has character :)

Thanks Ron! Having a bit of a sort out (about time) and getting around to putting full identification on some of the ones I have had for a while. Most are partly written up but some I haven't started on yet.
