This was the first year for CoinFest. The plan is to have one every year in different parts of the country.

As owner of CoinFest (the company), I receive many emails asking about cities and even countries abroad. This is a new company for me, and event planning is far different than buying and selling coins. (My main business).
However, the ability to transport coins back and forth across the border between Canada and the U.S. has changed quite a bit in the past few years. It is not all that easy anymore.
Now that isn't to say that I would not consider it at some point down the road, but it won't be soon.
The 2006 cities are Indy, San francisco, Dallas/Fort Worth, and Rehobeth Beach. A very slim chance of Dover being picked up again, but not planned as of yet.

There are small coin clubs that set up simular activities, so maybe you can find one close to your area.
Rest in Peace

South east Delaware, just north of the Maryland beaches. I have to make sure that I always do one in my home state.

Sorry, probably all I need to do is search a little, but I must admit I don't understand what "CoinFest" is.

Would someone mind explaining.

Thanks.
Rest in Peace

Absolutely! I am working with some major companies putting together sponsorship packages. My hope is that CoinFest will be held 12 times per year. The kids are our future. While some coin clubs and some shows offer small things and activities, they really are not reaching out to the general public.
Currently CoinFest is still a division of my coin firm, but if all goes well, it will become a completely seperate entity by 2007.
I receive emails and phone calls each and every day about this event. On the coin side, I have been incredibly lucky to have bought and sold some of the most beautiful coins in the world. This CoinFest has given me more personal pleasure than any coin I have ever owned. The smiles on the kids faces was absolutely priceless. I just hope that I can touch one child' heart and provide a life long passion.
