After the massive P-day with all those Philips, Ptolemys and others, Q-day might be a bit quieter. As small distraction here a simple coin:

Just-A-Little-Puzzle Just-A-Little-Puzzle

(In the background just the rim of a random small coin to ensure a decent scan.)

So all what is on this uniface silver coin is an image of arms and the date 1510.

Anyone venture a guess where it is from?

Bit of a neophyte at this... But I'll give it a shot! (Don't make fun. Okay, make fun.) I'm guessing somewhere that is now encompassed by either France or Germany (Bavaria). The 3 lions seem quite English to me...

Good on you to give it a try (and squeezing hints out for others).
To not give too much away, I'll just state that the 3 lions are not the English ones.

Note: The three lions on the English coat of arms have all the same posture while here the bottom one is (half-way) rampant.

You know, the writing looks Spanish to me, so that was my first guess but I just couldn't come up with anything that looked remotely close, so I gave up on that and tried something else. But I'd swear that's Spanish writing. And if not, I've seen it before, somewhere... (And yes, you should punish me if I'm giving out clues to the others in an inappropriate fashion! Don't fully know the rules.)

There are no rules. But there is also no writing on that coin except the date - those numbers where used all over Europe.
There is a remote link with Spain, but that statement might confuse you more than help.

I have no knowledge of medieval coins but I do see three lions (can't see their attitudes too well, so I'll take your word for it). The coat is either divided per fess or impaled with another coat or arms. Looks like a barry of three on the right.

Judging from the three lions, Denmark? I can't find anything a shield with barry of three.

Not a bad observation. But it's not Denmark.

It looks similar to my Salzburg coins, so I suppose it could be Salzburg?

Getting close but no, it's not Salzburg.
Which specific feature made you think of Salzburg?

Shape, early date, the diagonal square, and the striped right side of the arms.

(I have a Salzburg coin in the alphabetical thread under M - it looks surprisingly similar.)

'SlurExe97' mentioned that feature already and yes, there is a reason why this is on the coins of Salzburg, the same reason it is on the coin posted.

Duchy of Carinthia (Kärnten). In Austria (the left side of the arms).

Yes, 'philadelphian' you got it.

Here are the arms in colour:

Just-A-Little-Puzzle

@ 'january1may', Salzburg is a neighbour of Carinthia and they share the right part of the arms being part of Austria.

As final note, the Halbling pictured was minted in St.Veit.

Oh, I've had an interest in medieval coins for a long time! Have a couple... nothing serious. I think my favorite is a little silver Venetian piece from around the time Da Vinci was apprenticed there. Oh, and a Henry V Silver Penny - I love that little guy, too! Hm, I should post pictures, shouldn't I?
