Hello,

I was previously thinking about getting a Dansco album for the Lincoln Cents from 1909 to the present. However, as the cents are not worth much right now, is it best to get a cheaper folder? Or should I invest right away to keep the Cents in the best shape?

Thank you

Do a quick search using the search tool and you will find your answer to the "folder vs album" debate.

Pick up an albulm, some will say two. This way you can keep upgrading and enjoy your set more (better eye appeal, both sides visible, no oily finger prints...).

The second set would be for your lower tier cents. Have fun.

You should definitely go with the album now if you think you will upgrade to it later.

If someone is just "testing the collecting waters," a folder is fine.

I am very happy with my Dansco album for my Lincoln cents. I can appreciate both side of the coin and the presentation is hands down better than a folder.

As already noted you could use the Search tab for many posts on this subject. But just in case you don't, keep away from Folders if possible. If you think about it, you push the coins in with your thumb or finger. You can not see the reverse. The front is exposed to touch, spit, cough, etc every time you open one.
A Whitman Album is large enough to add extra pages so you can put all the Cents in one from 1909 to present.

I just pulled all my LWC from the album and put them in 2X2. My red ones were slowing turning red/brown. Not sure if this will stop it but worth a shot.
