I cannot find these Panda's for less than $24.50 a piece. Did anyone else find them for less? If so where?

And, why did they drop the 999/1oz part? Now to me it looks like a generic round and there's no assurance of weight or content. Sad.

@silverjunk, thanks for the heads up. I didn't see that they left out 999/1oz part. I just lost interest.

Panda's have always carried more of a premium than other world bullion. The cost is on the exporting from China side, not the dealer side.

I agree that getting rid of the metal, weight and fineness on the coin makes them look like generic rounds . Also the counterfeiters must be salivating over such an easy coin to fake.

Last year a law was past in China to move all it's currency and bullion away from the world " troy oz " standard and to the metric standard. It is assumed that this is a transition year and that next year's Pandas will have the metal, fineness and some sort of designation in grams (31 grams ?)

Could be an interesting collecting three years for this series. Last year of troy oz designation, only year with no designation and first year of gov't mandated metric designation. We will see how it is all played out.

I wonder why they're going metric? I miss being on the old imperial system! Canada went metric in 1975. I was in gr 5 and I still only understand a few measurements. Like 1 kilo is 2.2 lbs. 1 lb 450 -500 grams, and 1 km is 5/8 of a mile. Everything else I'm pretty lost. I feel for all the people who are affected by the changes.
