Here's my question, if you remove the Kennedy half dollars from the UC set, Rolls, and the 50th Anniversary set, and mix them up on a table can you tell which is which?

The 50th Anniversary set, most definitely; as it has the original design. Distinguishing the other two from each other (rolls or mint set) might be tougher.

Thanks jbuck for you comments. I have the sets and, for me, found it very hard to see any difference.

Yes they can. RP is obvious as is the EU. D unc is silver. Thats an easy tell. Proof is Philly . So you can tell all 4 in the set without even considering the relief. That leaves the 2 coin set. OK the gold too but that doesn't enterminto this one. The coins in the two coin set, to my eyes, are clearly different from the normal ones. Higher relief, hair is different.

And the bust is larger. Notice the point of the bust comes down noticeably closer to the date on the 50th anniversary clad halves

He is discussing the clad uncirculated P/D coins, not the silver set.

The coins in the 50th Anniversary Kennedy 2014 Half-Dollar Uncirculated Coin Set are obviously different from the rolled/bagged half dollars when compared side by side.

Differentiating a freed mint set half dollar to one form a bag or roll could prove difficult, unless you assume the former would always be more pristine and the latter banged up. Design wise, no difference.

Thanks for all the comments and feed-back...I guess I need to look a little closer to pick up the details that have been mentioned.
Thanks again and wish you all the best for the holidays.
