Hello everyone . Just thought I would post my 1985 Federal Reserve Note birth-year set. I started working on this set last year and I am only 2 notes away from having it Complete. I have been looking for a 1985 $20.00 note and a 1985 $50.00 note. I would prefer for them to have already been graded by PCGS or PMG but if you have a nice note in good condition I would be willing to make you an offer. I have been searching E-bay for a 1985 $50.00 note for over a year and I have yet to find one. I just wanted to share with you guys a bit of my collection. Happy Holidays and thanks ahead of time.

They are harder to find than one would think. Very, very few were saved. Took me quite a while to find a nice 1979-A Morton-Miller $10 note and it is a star note. That's the only reason it got saved.

Keep your eye out for 1985 $20 and $50 star notes if they exist.

Yeah man. I am trying to find them as much as possible. No luck on any star notes from 1985 as of yet. Thanks for comment

I'll keep an eye out. Bump me via email on here with a way to contact you (email) if I find something.

I assume Federal Reserve district does not matter, correct?

thanks a lot DOUBLEEAGLE20. Yes I don't care about district. I would prefer to have it graded 65 or better but if its not graded that's ok, I will submit it to PCGS as I am member there. I really appreciate the help. I see a few $20.00 notes every now and then on ebay but I have not seen a $50 note at all!

Nice looking set! Good luck on your $50 search...that could be a pretty tough one to find.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/111483624136 Ok guys I think I have a $50.00 note here. I was wondering if some of you would like to test your grading skills on this one. I am hopping that if I pick this note up it will grade a 65 or higher... thoughts?

Well it looks like it would hit a high grade. Edges and corners look nice...I didn't see any creases or folds... looks like a very well kept high grade note. I tried to really zoom in but it got blurry on me...however from what I see it looks good.

thanks scopru... That's what I was looking at.. corners, and edges then work my way to the middle from outside. Now if I pick this thing up and get it graded it will take PCGS about 6 months to get it back to me.
