Help ID'ing this old Rupee I purchased in Isfahan,Iran in 1974 from a respectable Armenian Artist and coin collector/dealer.

A peddler came in to the shop while I was there. He poured out about 100 + different Rupees from a lagre bag for the dealer to look at and hopefully buy. The dealer bought the whole bag full.

I then asked the dealer if I could purchase one. He poked through the pile of Rupees and handed this one to me saying it was an expensive one.

I have not been able to find an exact copy in my World Catalogs.

Thanks in advance.

The style reminds me of Sefavid coinage, which could well be before the time your catalogue covers.
What is the weight?

Thanks for the comments. I will research Sefavid Coinage.

My catalogs are Krause Standard Catalog of World Coins 1601-1700 2nd Edition to modern.

On my postal scale, the weight is .3 Oz. or
0.273 Troy Ounces. Kilograms = 0kg 8.5049g
I do realize that the postal weight can be
quite off the mark.

Measurements are aprox 22.7 X 3 thick.
