It's only $50 in Dimes, almost certainly a melt-value lot.

The seller states in the auction there are 'no key dates'. This is IMHO a melt value lot of average circulated coins ... filled with common dates that will always and forever be common coins. Current melt value at todays silver spot of $16.29 per ounce of silver is $817. Curious why the OP thinks this is a 'dime collection'. David

David 505 dimes is a big lot, at least in my opinion... I did see where you changed it from a "great" collection to a dime collection cause I didn't say it was great. Though it would be great for a junk silver collector...

with SsuperDdave, it says no keydates so most likely highly searched melt quality. most of these lots are meant for non collectors, I buy rolls and discard the average stuff into rolls I can always get melt back from silver hoarders and survivalist types after searching and cherry picking for numismatic coins

Browsed that website, and many of their numismatic items are what I would consider "telemarketer priced". Go figure.

If the value of silver content is so high the present auction price is very low with only 3 hours to go. $43 Total Quantity of Single Roosevelt 90% Silver Dimes (1946â€'1964) 505 = $594.63 Total Silver Value Source http://coinapps.com/silver/dime/calculator/

Silver coins like this typically sells for over melt on this web site. I have been lucky a few times here and got a three graded PL Morgan dollars cheap enough to make a decent profit on. I also got a superbly toned Oregon Trail commemorative half for just $70.00 and it is at least an MS-64. This one I am keeping. Sealed envelope 1958-63 proof sets go for multiples of their usual retail prices and they seem to have an unlimited supply of them.

Yeah I've noticed that too as far as coins going for over melt, but I have gotten some very good deals on there before... These things go for way more then their actual worth... Wish I had a time machine to go back and buy boxes of these and bring them back and make a fortune on this site...
