Great coin. There are loads on acsearch if you search for "vespasian felicitas". Is there something different on this coin that I am not seeing? A couple on Vcoins, but not as nice as this.

Wildwinds has it as RIC 715
Vespasian AE Dupondius. 74 AD. IMP CAES VESP AVG P M T P COS V CENS, radiate head right / FELICITAS PVBLICA S-C, Felicitas standing left, holding short caduceus and cornucopia. Cohen 152.

Edit: Oops it has CENS after COS V - sorry.

Obverse legend should read IMP CAES VESP AVG PM TR P COS V CENS, the Gens is missing. With the Gens it's RIC II 554. I'll have to check my copy of RIC to see if yours is there.

Just checked my copy of RIC, never the easiest text to go through. It agrees with ERIC II with the number with CENS. However I can not find one without CENS.

The 1926 edition of RIC does not have that obverse inscription. Sear does not have it either in the newest edition.
So, if genuine it might be an unrecorded variant.

Does the seller accept returns if coin is proven as not genuine?
Are you prepared to spend the money to have Sear have a look at it?

I would definitely take the chance with the seller accepting returns. I would also be tempted to send it to David Sear.

My thoughts exactly 'pishpash'.
Get the coin into the hand. Make own assessment. When considered false, just lost return postage.
Else send to Sear. If authenticated, it was a steal - if not, return or keep as an example of an excellent fake. Worth the gamble.

I definitely have my concerns.

This coin is outside of my area of experience so I can't say anything constructive about it's physical characteristics. The low BIN price makes me wonder.

Anyways, I offered 23% less than the BIN price and am waiting for a response.

Seller just countered my offer, which I accepted. $67 with free shipping

I can't wait to see this coin in hand.
