It sounds a bit odd but this coin seems to have a defined and sharp rim and edge. At least both characteristics on the obverse. The width of the coin is not completely even and the lower width portion is where you see a narrowing of the rim.I'm sure its probably toning but there is a satin like appeal to the obverse and it reflects very little light when using a Photo flash. The Reverse of the coin appears to be the black sheep of the two sides yet is there a reason for this? To make the obverse look even better than it does like some cheap highschool ploy lol! Or it could be nothing and I'm stalling putting up Christmas lights...yes this late!

We often see this on proof coins and uncirculated coins. Yours is not a proof coin though. It shows some wear, so I don't know why it would be sharp edged.
