No, sorry. This is from relatively late in the series.

No need to be sorry, would be a pity if every guess would be right:
Vonones I?

With your last hint, I have to correct my guess and go with
Vologases (VI or VII whatever number you have him as)?

Just saw your second guess, Med. I'm gonna give it to you. It's actually Volo IV. tetradrachm, 147 - 191 AD Sellwood 84.16

Yes, there was some cross-over between posts.
IV (or V) had a very similar profile, I opted for the later one as first guess.

Yes, some of those later issues became pretty formulaic, but the artistic quality definitely degraded towards the very end of the empire...compare the above, which is quite nice, to a Volo VI below. G'night from the states. Bedtime.

Seems the quality of silver diminished as well, but still nice coins. Good night to you. For all those who are still awake or sleepwalking:

Let me ask a quick question to the community. Does any one own a Miliarense. The Roman type not the Byzantine type. Thanks

Since not everyone looks into this thread, it might be better if you make a thread with that request in the title.
But since you are here, where is your guess?

I would hate to have an entire thread for just a simple question , but you are right most of the forum members do not traverse this thread. Do you own a Miliarense ?

No, I don't - else I would have mentioned it in the previous answer.
Also, don't forget that there are owners of Roman coins who do not or very rarely show up in this forum, so you might as well ask it in the main coin forum (as well). Once you get a positive answer you can always ask for the thread to be closed.

Looks like one of those two facing bust provincials. Geta maybe?
