Unfortunately cannot recognise much from the coins. Clearer pictures would be appreciated. If you want to show off coins from before 1600, then the ancient forum is the best place. Since you seemingly have some older coins, please look at https://goccf.com/t/195985and post some of your coins when they match the then active decade.

Here are better pics I did post some medieval coins in Ancients forum before but moderators moved them and when I asked for separate forum for medieval coins they told me that there are not enough people interested so all thats not Ancient goes to Worlds coins forum. Plus technically coins from 1500s are not even medieval especially not ancient. I must say your topic looks interesting, although when you get deeper in 1400s it would be harder and harder to determine exact decade coin was made.

Can you reload your images, they don't not appear to be showing up on the thread.
Moving this thread over to the Ancient/Medieval coin section.

@ 'mvojnovic': There are some members interested in coinage which is a bit newer than antiquity and hopefully the thread raises even more interest. Yes, 1600 is an artificial date of separation but after some input from members was the one decided by site management as viable. Per Quote: when you get deeper in 1400s it would be harder and harder to determine exact decade coin was made. That is true, for some decades it will be difficult to find fitting coins. But don't forget that a coin can span across the border of a decade as long as the minting period is not extensive, so hopefully someone has a fitting coin to move through those 'dangerous' times to earlier period were there are plenty dateable coins. For your coins, wonder how they look in hand - will you clean them up a little? An what about the reverse of the Serbian coin?

I've enhanced your pictures a bit so they are a little easier to see. From what I can tell all except the center top and bottom coins are of Bela III of Hungary. The other two I'm not sure of.

And thanks for enhancing pics I just put on pics from site where I bought them from didnt bother to take my own Quote: @ 'mvojnovic': There are some members interested in coinage which is a bit newer than antiquity and hopefully the thread raises even more interest. Per making a new thread for medieval coins and early modern coins would be great. And yea picking exact date might be tricky

For your coins, wonder how they look in hand - will you clean them up a little? An what about the reverse of the Serbian coin? They look much better in hand then in pics and you can notice almost all the details characteristic for Bela III coins - http://www.calgarycoin.com/medieval/4320Lg.jpg I didnt clean them and not planing to. I just put some nuts oil to preserve them in present condition since they are all copper and got good patina on them. As for Serbian coin there is not much to see on the other side even in hand and its much lees clearer on pic. Based on others I have seen in catalog on the other side should be image of ruler (Djuradj) with his insignia and inscription around. Do you collect Serbian coins as well?

Yes they are attributed to Bella III but some of them have Bela written on them. As for their striking similarity with Islamic coins I would like to know more about that too :)
