Right as usual Med.

Just a fun fact Maxentius hated the tetrarchy that had left him out of the Imperial Purple,so his coinage reflects a "reunion" with Rome ( a city that also was left out of the tetrarchy)
Which is one reason he was able to rule Rome and Italy so long and kill Severus II and hold out against Galerius

You like those murderous stories, don't you.

Here one that is a major challenge for you but only a minor one for 'echizento':

Pacifist here

Gibbons book

While Gibbon's is not bad, you really need to complement that by a work incorporating newer research and fixing Gibbon's inaccuracies.

And at 'Phocas':

Very, very, very close - but no.

Gibbon is the one who got me started toward my passion of history and to an extent Ancient coins so he will always have a special place in my heart. I have read most contemporary ( Roman contempory that is) histories so I think I am good there Is that Phocas" wife Leontia ?
