Greatcollections-To-Auction-Capuano-Registry-Set-Of-Morgans
Greatcollections-To-Auction-Capuano-Registry-Set-Of-MorgansThe following is a GreatCollections Press Release.

December 5, 2014, Irvine, Calif. â€" GreatCollections is pleased to announce the auction date of the Capuano Everyman PCGS Registry Set, which will be sold on December 21, 2014. The PCGS Registry Set is currently ranked #4 and contains 72 coins graded PCGS AU-58 or PCGS AU-58+. All coins are being sold unreserved, with bidding to start at $1.

PCGS launched the Everyman sets several years ago in response to demand from collectors who have amassed superb Almost Uncirculated sets in many categories, but they did not rank as the finest when you include Mint State examples.

"Thank you to Mr. Capuano for entrusting us with this set. I am expecting a lot of bidding interest, since there are many people trying to complete superb AU examples of Morgan dollars," said Ian Russell, President/founder of GreatCollections.

Mr. Capuano started to collect high-end AU examples in 2008, when he realized that MS examples of many key dates would cost a small (or large!) fortune. His goal was to find the very best AU example that he could find.

Russell continued, "It's interesting to note how difficult it is to obtain AU examples of some issues. For example, some of the Carson City issues are extremely rare in circulated condition. Another difficult-to-find coin is the 1884-S, a condition rarity. The Capuano 1884-S has been graded PCGS AU-58+."

On the same day, GreatCollections will be offering a complete set of Proof Silver Eagles, graded PCGS Proof-70 DCAM, including the famed 1995-W. The coins are being auctioned individually and are also being sold unreserved, with bidding to start at $1.

I don't see any pedigree on the label. Will it come with certification of authenticity?

A nice collection, but hardly worthy of a pedigree or COA .......
