First off, your penny doesn't look like a weak strike, it just looks like it's been worn a lot. Here's a hint for weak strikes: The center of the coin has more detail than the outer edges. Just a small hint. Keep looking through coins though, you might find something good one day!

Nothing fantastic just worn. However, might be an abbreviation. But from your photo, just appears to be worn.

It's NOT wear or grease, it's a die fill issue common in this area which is opposite the head. It's caused by insufficient die pressures, evident in the poor formation of the memorial building too.

Thanks for the input, got 2 more going to post all 2 are 1972 d one has what looks lik a split 1 in the date and the other has a flat t in liberty
