Need an opinion on the condition of this 1925. It has mint luster a nice coin in hand. Its been in my set for years. Also is it worth slabbing? Thanks Gary

gary: it's a bit difficult to tell as the pics aren't the greatest... I think this coin would grade EF to AU. Trends is approx. $80 - $250... I would say if you're thinking of getting a few coins slabbed and can get a deal... or if you wanted to sell it.. then slab it!
At this point I would say it's on the cusp of if you want to slab it... great.. (esp. if it's AU) .. but if you don't, b/c you like it how it sits in your collection .. then don't.

I appreciate the help and if I could get a decent camera and learn how to use it. I guess I need a class on how to download good pics also. Shouldn't take 2 hrs to load two photos. I have a Cannon AE1 35mm nice then I have several coins I would love to share with folks would like to see. Also that 1925 is a lot nicer than it shows.

The coin photography forum is a fantastic resource. They helped me in so many ways to improve the photos I take.

yes AU-50 without a clear picture of the crowns beads, it is hard.

Thanks to all for the input
My camera is a Lumix and after Ag told me about the macro setting, it helped.
I feel AU 50 is the lowest and good pics will show its true beauty. I just need to work on the how to.

It is a beautiful example and candidate for TPG if you want to. Cheers!

Maybe a dumb question. Where do I find out about TPG? Are they the best for Canadian and foreign coins? I am getting back into coins after retiring. The RCM 1971 BC silver dollar sets was the last coins I bought, so I am a little out of touch.

You can go to a local coin show... your local coin dealer or you can look online (depending on the grading service) The only major coin grading service without a website is ICCS... they're sometimes considered the standard for canadian coin grades... But you can look on other threads and see each of the grading services have positive and maybe some negatives... If you have never had a coin sent in for grading yet, I would look in some other threads on here and do a bit of web - research and perhaps talk to a few others in the community before you form and opinion. (My Two Cents) Since you're already in the states .. I would give PCGS a consideration.
