VG. You should be able to pick one up in a TPG holder for under $200. So don't waste your money on that one.

Looks cleaned and way too expensive. I'd avoid that coin.
I think I paid about $180 for mine and it looks a lot like the certified on shown above.
Hang in there, Rob. You will find a nice one eventually.

Perfect example of " condition is everything " , With some searching and patience you can obviously find a VG for under $200.
I happen to think the one you were looking at was nicer than VG.
Just for reference PCGS values an F12 at $380, NGC at $360, Numismedia wholesale at $250, Retail at $300, HA places an auction value at $210-$270 (before BP).

Looks VG Cleaned. Valued at $200 max. I wouldn't pay any more than that. You should be able to easily find a comparable problem-free example for a lower price on ebay.

I have the auction coin at a near-prototypical VG10, and priced at close to double its' value.

Thanks guys! I had a feeling it was a bit over-priced. The romantic 'Wild West' association tends to push up the price of Morgans over here - you see common dates in AU for about £30, and 1964 JFK halves are also heavily hyped and go for about £10 - but if you're lucky you can pick up large cents and decent Buffalo nickels in junk trays..

My first impression on the coin was "fake". While the coin may be real and everything, it's cleaning makes it look fake.
