It's not Constantius I, it's Constantine I. I believe it's RIC VII Nicomedia 12

I have loads of Constantine I coins, but mostly the legends are non-existant. OK so it is not a Chlorus but it will replace a duff coin. I am happy enough.

That legend appears on Ric 12a (Serdica)
and the coin could be Ric 3 (VII, Cyzicus)?
but what do I know. I can't even work out how to read RIC.

I think echizento is spot on, mint mark SMN is 100% Nicodemia. Legends, field mark, and bust type all say RIC 12

Perfect match to RIC#12 Nicomedia as shown at Wildwinds. Wildwinds description does not match the obverse inscription/text posted with it though. Sear[ME]#15943 combines RIC#12 and RIC#14 with the description "officina mark A-Z in right field" and adds 'Nicomedia AD313-17'

Pish .......
How can you live in UK and not have a Constantius I in your collection ?
This might be interpreted as an act of 'lese majeste' !
We are going to have to fix this problem soon before the "coin police" find out and take you in for questioning

Thanks everyone. And an R3 to boot. I know is doesn't mean anything, but it looks good on the label.
