I've been using my Canon PowerShot SX110 for several years using the auto mode with Macro enabled and shooting under natural sunlight (indirect). The photos come out acceptable. There are a lot of settings I could adjust but I haven't really messed with them. Anyone using this camera for coin photos have any suggestions?

Thank You.

Yes, until it died and I used Canon's trade-in program to get a SX160 IS. I agree, the auto mode is pretty good. I have had best results with auto, but various forms of lighting have made a big difference. That and using the timer so that it takes hands-free photos (no vibration blur).
