Problem free? I know it's risky to buy a coin like this raw, but thought I just toss it out here for any quick thoughts. Thanks. Ed

something strikes me as odd about this coin but I'm no expert.

Looks cleaned but there is what looks like a nice die crack on the reverse

Edit: Whats up with the "N" in united?

I think it is probably real, but I don't like the appearance. Definitely cleaned with a lot of hairlines (maybe whizzed?). The rims look like they may be damaged.

the coin looks flattened around the rims at the obverse 9:00 area. I would pass on this and not look back.

8 o'clock ding & most likely whizzed. I'd buy it $15 flat. Add the shipping & I've lost interest.

I can't tell if the luster-like appearance is from a whizzing or is natural, but I think I see hairlines moving from left to right across the coin. The coin is authentic. There is nice die clashing on both the obverse and reverse. The rims have pitting that worry me. Problem free? No. Nice coin? Maybe...

I also did not like the surfaces on it. I would like it tossed in a lot of other coins to compliment the lot.

It's a Half Dime not a dime.

AU-details, cleaned. Still a decent coin with plenty of detail for someone who doesn't want to pay AU money.

Recut. This one's LM-5, known for that feature. Check the U and the 5 as well.
