I think I can ID this as a Ten Reis not the 5 Reis by the leafs near the "B" in ALGARBIORUM. The date is obliterated, any idea of when this might have been coined? 1790's?

As 'aiglet7' has indicated, diameter and weight will often help to properly identify a coin.
Also please post the pictures the right way up, the top on is clearly upside down.
And if the bottom one would be the same size as the upper would be nice as well.
Hope you can identify your piece for good.
