I just purchased a 2014 ASE roll for $379 with free shipping from APMEX. This same roll was around $425 yesterday. What caused such a big price decrease over night?

It's because I bought at $425. Never fails :)

I see APMEX has rolls of average circulation Barber quarters (a new interest of mine) for $160 a roll. That's $4 a coin with free shipping. What do they consider average circulation? I think on ebay they are selling $6-9 a coin. Tell me why I'd regret this in hand.... I'm in need a voice of reason and would prefer to learn from those who made the mistake rather then be out 160.

@connor- didn't mean to hijack your thread but you led me to browse APMEX this morning... So that's the connection

No worries...CLS. I think APMEX has several good deals going on now. BTW...I don't think you can go wrong with the Barber quarters, but then again, I am never the voice of reason when it comes to buying silver....

I think you will find that Provident metals usually sells silver products for a bit less than APMEX. I just checked both websites and this is currently true for 2014 ASE. Regarding Barber quarters that seems like a fair price. Right now my silver bullion of choice is Walking Liberty halves at 13.75 x spot.

APMEX just raised the price back up to 425.99 again. This sale didn't last long.

This is my first post but I see JMBullion had the ASE a few minutes ago @384 and change Eastern time 9:35 am and now you can use E-Check. FYI I do not work for any PM seller or trader just a simple collector and buy most of my silver from JM Bullion.

I'm not sure if anyone affiliated with APMEX is a member or reads the forum, but I'm very impressed that an order shipped on Monday has already arrived and it was free shipping! I haven't opened the box yet, but great first impression.

I have made several purchases from APMEX over the past year and they almost always ship priority mail the next day. I am always very satisfied with them.

I've bought my share online, but just wondering what the mad rush is to get shipment. I've had fast shipping, I've had delayed. No matter to me as long as I'm locked in and take delivery. It's kind of funny -

There is not really a mad rush... It's just an added benefit in my opinion...don't quite know what's funny about it?

fistfulla, I think the rush might be for people who buy it and think the price is rising and want to flip. It's hard to flip something when you haven't received it yet.
Who knows. I'm just guessing.

i like fast shipping because I like to open it, hold it and add it to my stack. Isn't that part of the excitement?

Totally agree Leo...Why wouldn't you want it as soon as possible if you spent your hard earned money on it?
