On the 4 it just doesn't look like PMD up close but mabi? And is that a notch on the R of LIBERTY? Could not get a good up close if liberty yet but that looked thick also...

The 4 looks normal, just a bid of MD. What is on the "0"? Loos like a chip or split plating. But if firm, it maybe a chip.

I've seen you label a few coins now with split plating-this is something I really don't have any experience with yet-sure your busy but when ya get a chance if you can post any pics explaining this one I'd very much appreciate it,thanks!

Is split plating something only found on Zincolns? or can it happen with coppers too?

The zinc planchet get air from split plating. The copper planchets don't have zinc in them, so it is a Zincoln problem.

The non copper color areas is where the zinc is showing through the splitting of the plating.
