I had not even gotten the aluminum pole out of the attic when the door bell rang yesterday.
Festivus came early when the mailman made his rounds

The seller had this coin ID'd as a possible "phalera" which is a decoration used to adorn a soldiers breast plate. I believe he is correct !
I showed this coin to a dealer very knowledgeable about Roman coins. His words .....
"It's got a hole in it"
When I pointed out that the hole is rectangular and apparently 'plugged' he said ....
"It's got a hole in it"
But why is it rectangular ?
"It's a hole"
Some people just can't be satisfied !
$63 plus shipping ....... I'll take all you got at that price

HAPPY FESTIVUS !
