The surfaces just don't look right. The whole coin seems dull and I see halos around the reverse stars

I'll say au-58. nothing about the coin would say anything about DETAILS on the holder.

That's a really good strike! The details are all there and that obverse rim is incredible. I would say no less than 58.

AU-58 details. The surfaces don't look right, but it could just be the picture and the angle used.

To be honest, I was expecting a G-VG coin, so I was a bit surprised when I saw this coin.

The coin is notated proof detail improperly cleaned. Sent by mistake by a seller for one I had won.

I'm not surprised in the least that it's a proof strike. That obverse rim is a dead giveaway if the overall strike was not enough. I wonder if someone else got your coin?

The seller was gracious and sent me my coin so at one point I had both to compare. I had bid on a 1903 proof (improperly cleaned).

In essence I was looking for a higher grade Barber half for my 7070. I liked the really low mintage of the 1913 but preferred the toning on the coin I actually bid on and returned the 1913.
