This is a current ebay auction. What do you think of it. I never heard of any kind of error this before. What are your thoughts?

i think it looks like a regular sackie just one is darker..

Every weekend I've gotten both versions of this coin in my register. When you look at them together it does look odd. But it's perfectly normal tarnishing.

Was there a year that the mint put a wash on Sac's that made them much darker

They tone funnily because of the metallic composition of the coins, even in one group of them from the same source, you will get different tones in them.
