Is there such a thing? What's the lowest an impaired proof can get? If you own one, can you post a picture?

I think several people on here carry proofs as pocket pieces. Hopefully some will chime in.

Proofs can grade anywhere from PR-01 to PR-70.

Here are a few examples I found on Heritage, there are currently 1,837 proofs graded PR-01 to PR-58 in their archives.

Thanks for sharing, Canadian-Banknotes!
I'm surprised that rim ding did not qualify it for a details grade.
Now... is there a Pr01?

I did a search for PR1, PR01, PF1, PF01 and didn't find any.

Heritage has an ANACS PR2 but that's as close as they get.

We know that the above pieces are proofs because they are proof only dates. Is there any way to tell a circulated Philly proof (not proof only date) from a circulated regular issue?

With Morgan dollars you could look for VAM attributes.

I'm sure there are varities on other series as well to identify a low grade proof.

Most Proofs are of such low mintage that only one or two die pairs are used, and the minute die markers which survive circulation help to identify. Trouble is, if those dies end up doing Business Strikes as well, it's not nearly as easy to decide the coin was a Proof strike originally or not.

Regardless of how sure the TPG seems to be.
