Yeah, I know, I can afford to buy gold coins but I'm trying to do the photography on the cheap. All I have is an iPhone 5c which has pretty good resolution, but it's the colour that I'm having issues with. It ends up looking really washed out, like a very pale yellow rather than reddish yellow it should be.

Any tips to get accurate colour, keeping in mind what I said about my camera.

Search this Forum for "iPhone;" they're actually pretty good with coins and a couple of members have done threads talking about their work.

Gold is notoriously difficult to get correct for color, even with dedicated equipment. If you have to increase the Saturation or something in postprocessing to get the color closer to acccurate, that's not a sin.
