Hello to all, new kid on the block . Found this one close to 20 years ago. It's not a monster but it is a cool Quad. Haven't seen a listing for it anywhere and was wondering if anyone had seen this one before?

Published a book in 2005 called
The Authoritative Reference on Barber quarters

List eleven 1892 doubled die obverses, including two quads.

This looks like DDO-001, which should have nice repunching on the 18.

can you see if there are any diagnostics such as die cracks on the obv/rev.
I see a die crack through the top of TR.
Is there any doubling on the reverse?

Of course it might be one that I did not see when writing the book. Barber seems to have rushed these when annealing as most are class II doubled dies.

Actually there is some repunching of the 1 in the date. I didn't mention it because it's so minor and not so easy to photograph but can be a marker.

The camera I use is an old beat up Sony a100 , their first dslr. For whole coin shots I use a 60mm micro lens and for closeups I choose between some bellows micros ,copy camera, and enlarge lenses used at the end of extention tubes and bellowes. All this and the coin are mounted to a camera sled I cobbled together that holds the whole shooting match nice and steady !
