Hermes on obverse, Brittania (if I read the shield right) on reverse it seems.

Found it: http://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces54575.html

Please note: Hermes is the Greek version of the Roman Mercury

These "generic" tokens were produced for use in Ireland or the colonies or for illicit use in England itself after copper token production was made illegal there in the early 1800s. You'll find them listed under "British Copper Company" in the British token catalogues. Because many were exported to Canada alongside other unwanted Irish tokens, you'll probably also find them mentioned in the Canadian token books.

You never find these tokens in excellent condition; I believe they were sold "pre-worn" to make them appear older and therefore more legitimate.
Don't say "infinitely" when you mean "very"; otherwise, you'll have no word left when you want to talk about something really infinite. - C. S. Lewis
