Looks cleaned to me, you can see the halo effect around the lettering, it looks in great shape otherwise, however it looks shiny, perhaps this has been laquered at sometime?

It could be the way the light was on the coin but, I agree, it could have been lightly buffed or laquered hard to tell with the photos.

What makes you say proof. Is it just shiny? Could be polished/varnished.

I have no clue how to grade rim dings, in copper especially. XF-Details cleaned or AU-details cleaned?
