Nice FB page. I sure wish I had a coin club near me. How many tables do you usually have at your show?

Me as well. My band has been pressuring me to get one, but I remain resolute in not getting a Facebook.

I can understand the thought of not advertising your coin collecting interests on Facebook, but a band? I'm not sure about the "bad stories," but I make a living using Facebook (and other social media sites), so I'm glad it's there.

To each their own, I suppose. I can take FB or leave it, to be honest. It's nice to keep up with family stuff but I don't need all the "good night, peeps!" and "check out this YouTube kitten video" stuff, so I've been taking a hiatus from FB for a while and will need to tune my feed when I return.

I also got a lot of heckling when I liked the Wizard Coin page from my, um, shall we say "less numismatic" friends... heh

As far as bad FB stories go, sure, there are plenty. You just have to be smart about things. Think before you post or comment. There are lots of bad grocery store stories out there too.

As for technophobes, one of these days I'll get my parents to use online banking. Wait, who am I kidding?

As a parting observation, it is an interesting juxtaposition to be discussing an analog medium that's about as old as civilization alongside a digital medium that's only been with us for 11 years or so.
