Hi all, trying to help someone with a full id on a coin and think my eyes are fading.... sorry about the picture it's all I have.  You will never soar like an eagle if you hang around with turkeys.....

Inscription seems to be "IMP CP LIC GALLIENVS PF AVG".

That is some seriously good eyesight you have there med, thank you.

The letters are a bit mangled, but I agree that is what it appears to read.

Unfortunately not anymore 'MetDet71', rather experience of making sense of crappy inscriptions - the "E*VSAVG" was key.

When I have a clear picture I have started loading them up into photoshop so I can enlarge them and lighten them enough so I can read the legend..... age marches relentlessly on  I found a small button the other day while out detecting and I thought it was a Hammy for a few minutes... The opticians is definitely on the cards for me. You will never soar like an eagle if you hang around with turkeys.....
