The letters are a bit mangled, but I agree that is what it appears to read.

Unfortunately not anymore 'MetDet71', rather experience of making sense of crappy inscriptions - the "E*VSAVG" was key.

Some time ago I printed my coin and book lists at 5 pitch to save space. But now I would need a magnifying glass to read those.

When I have a clear picture I have started loading them up into photoshop so I can enlarge them and lighten them enough so I can read the legend..... age marches relentlessly on
I found a small button the other day while out detecting and I thought it was a Hammy for a few minutes... The opticians is definitely on the cards for me.
