I am looking for a Hi-Res picture of a Perfect 1940 Walking Liberty half, both sides. I need to see a perfect one so I can determine the areas of wear that occur on a not so perfect coin. Anyone have a link to one ? Tnx, rs

Go register at Heritage Auctions (ha.com). It's free, you don't have to provide any more data than you did to register here, and they have an amazing archive of past auction sales in excruciating resolution.
They have 500 1940 Walker Proofs in the archive. 500 of PR65 and above, that is.

There's no such thing as a "perfect" WLH because there are none in PF or MS70. Now if you are thinking about nice condition, then there are a few.

That link sends me to some PCGS page that wants me to sign up for some service.
As for ..."no such thing"... as a perfect WLHD, how about what the engraver did ? Should be as good as it gets.
Still looking for a Hi-Res photo.

As was previously mentioned, Heritage Auctions is the best site for photos. Just register free, and you can see all the pictures you want. Search the auction archives.

You should be able to see that link fine if you start the "free trial" or whatever. Here's a 68+. And a 67.

I went to the Heritage site the last time you told me to ...

The shots of the PF67 and PF68 are more like what I am looking for.
Thank you for your assistance.

Well, it's a 1939 instead of a 1940, but here are photos of my Walker in PR65+ condition:

Thanks very much for the pix of your PF65, nice looking coin. I think I have what I need, or at least what's available.
Thanks to all for your responses,
HNY
