How much is that bill in CND funds?

IDR to CAD? Divide it by 10000 when Indonesian economy is good, divide it by 12000 when it's not good. So around 40-50 cents CAD. However, this is enough to buy one person enough food for a week to survive (just survive, no fancy stuff). I only consider the food and not the equipment or gas required to cook it though.

That (current series notes) is actually pretty plain. Look up the older notes - some of them have breathtaking scenery and traditional cultures engraved on them.

I guess we sometimes don't realize how good we have it here in Canada, with the ability to collect bills and coins as a hobby instead of having to survive with so little.

It was okay in Indonesia before Soeharto and the 1997 Asian Financial Crisis (I was too young to remember though, I learnt this through the history textbook). There's even an old children's song that has the lyrics where someone is buying a bowl of meatballs for Rp200. After the Financial Crisis you won't find any cheaper than Rp10000 (inflation). I'm sorta used to seeing numbers that are in tens and tens of millions.
You almost never see crisp low denomination notes in unless you buy a brick straight from the bank. Trust me, you don't want to know where the ratty ones have been.

SlurExe97 thanks for the historical info. I haven't done a lot of travelling to other countries so some things are eye opening. I do like looking at bill art work from other countries.
My radars are not c/u as I don't search bricks of bills. These are just ones I've pulled from circulation. I check serial numbers on all my bills now.
Happy New Year everyone!

I love the two-digit radar! I haven't found a radar since I last posted pictures a few months ago but I always check every bill I can.

Nice radars Denny. Any Idea what the value of that five dollar 2 digit radar would be. just wondering, because on one hand its well circulated but on the other it is a 2 digit radar which are sort of hard to find.

Thank-you North, I have no idea what they are worth. My father has some older ones as well, which I haven't even seen yet. I just like finding them. I am still looking for my first solid digit serial number, its what keeps me looking.
