Picked this SEGS-certified coin at a good price. I guess it's a Cherrypickers-guide-listed variety but was not sold at a premium. The remnant of the original mintmark is way to the right of the final location which I thought was cool enough to share.

What a separation. I wonder, was it a bounce? Maybe the worker clipped the die with the punch? Doesn't strike me like a full repunch.

I don't think it was ever a full repunch but I am far from an expert

I don't think that's unreasonable. It's no worse than a slider in these images, and in-hand one could more easily tell if it has circulated.
