Red Hope Valued Member United States 53 Posts	Posted 01/10/2015 10:11 am This is one of the uncleaned coins that came out from the batch. I spent a few hours last night trying to figure it out. I thought perhaps it was Roman provincial. The "SS" pattern made me think of the "SC". But obviously not the same. Maybe it's not even Roman...? Any ideas? I appreciate the help! echizento Moderator United States 23731 Posts	Posted 01/10/2015 1:44 pm I think Chris is correct, it does look like Caracalla. Appears to be a provincial coin from Augusta Traiana, either Mionnet 44 or Moushmov 3055. Report this Post to the Staff
Medieval Pillar of the Community 3772 Posts	Posted 01/10/2015 7:53 pm Going by the 'IANOP' which I can read, I would check Trajanopolis and Hadrianopolis, more likely the latter with the letter in front of those having a good chance to be an 'R'. Report this Post to the Staff
