Need some help identifying the mint mark on this. I can't tell if it is S/S or what it actually may be. I have been staring at it from all different angles for about 30 minutes. As always any help is much appreciated.

It looks like the "S" took a hit.

BUT
That curved mark to the East of the "S" could be an earlier one that was misplaced and then "mostly" removed.

From the photo it does look like the 'S' took a hit.

Here is a photo of mine.
When comparing the two, I don't think your is an S/S.
The main reason I say this is because I don't see the top serif of the underlying "S".
