There are probably a lot more unlisted varieties out there. Britts are not great on the idea of slabbing. I dare say that if all the coins in the british coin colection albums were sent to be slabbed, hundreds of new varieties would be found. Its been like that since forever. UK only has CGS as a slabber and they only came to the fore in 2007. I collect most varieties in english coinage as and when I can. I have never heard of B/C it is normally CRAOLVS, on half pennies or missing stops on OBV or Rev.They can fetch good money here. But things like die cracks chips etc. there is not really an active market other than those who generally collect that type worldwide. There is definately no books specialising in that area. He is also the Author of the British Bronze penny and I thnk the new draught has added over 100 varieties that Freeman never had. I guess the age of the internet and how quickly we can process so much info at once is the main reason. Nice find by the way. If you get it recognised as a variety type I dare say £200-£500 would not be out of the ordinary for coin of that condition if it had B/C tag on its cover
