You also need to consider that right now the TPG's are getting inundated with ASE's First strike and Early release labels

Update:

I received the coin - I am pretty sure it is...an....impaired proof. In hand the details are much more clear and it has either been cleaned or whizzed. The leaves on the obverse that look like grease filled actually have the full leaf detail. It is not horrible but does not fit with my collection so I will be returning it. I will try to post updated pictures before I return it but my picture taking skills still are not great.

Prethen warned me not too long ago about proofs masquerading as business strikes. His words were rattling around in my head when I clicked "Buy it Now". Thanks to him and all the other members of this forum, I went in eyes wide open, it just didn't turn out as I had hoped.

What I have done in the past is to coordinate with the seller about having a raw coin certified and ask for an extended return time. I purchased a really colorful dime but wanted to ensure that it was "problem free". The seller understood and gave me 30 days. I informed the seller that I would absorb the certification fee and if it came back "problem free" I would of course keep it. If not, I would return it in the holder to the seller for a refund.

Sadly it was a details coin, but I did receive a refund.

Yea, it's great when a seller will do that. I had the same experience once and got the refund from the seller, plus some of the grading fees. Sadly recently, I was unable to purchase a coin because the seller refused to back the coin as problem free. That was frustrating, but in a way I can't blame the seller. They would back it as far as authenticity, but stated that that was the risk involved with a raw coin. Hope I'm not taking the thread sideways.

Quick update - I decided not to send it off because in hand I am certain it is a proof. I am still working on pictures for those interested but I have decided to keep it. Under high magnification I believe I can see the cleaning but with a regular loop it does not bother me too much. I also had a moral problem with sending it back because the listing described it perfectly and it is not horrible, just not the business strike I had hoped. Guess I feel I need to practice what I preach on if you take a calculated risk and lose, then chalk it up to experience. No need to subject the seller to my buyer's remorse. I have taken some calculated risks that paid off handsomely so it is a wash in my book.

I have to admit, it looks nice in the album so I do have another hole filled. Thank you everyone for your advice.
